HEALTH PLAN FOR STUDENT WELLNESS
According to the health guidelines, it is recommended that children between 5-18 years old should be physically active for at least 60 minutes every day! Primary school is an ideal setting for engaging children in daily exercise and teaching them how to adopt and maintain a healthy active lifestyle.
With children spending most of their week in school, it is crucial that schools and teachers play an active role in promoting a healthy lifestyle and give children plenty of opportunities to be physically active during school time.
Our Physical Team aims to integrate into young children’s lives a foundation of movement and activity which will be carried with them throughout the rest of their lives by assessing them on all the physical health parameters, maintain a balance in all the sensory organs, a healthier body composition, stronger bones and muscles.
Only one in three children are physically active every day. With every 1 out of 4 children having vision-related issues, the physical health is affecting the school performance of the child. Prevalence for obesity in children from 2 to 5 years is doubled, in age group 6 to 11 years in quadrupled, in 12- 19 it is tripled.
Students who are physically active tend to have better grades, school attendance, cognitive performance (memory, attention, concentration, planning), and classroom behaviours.
It Consists of Various Components
Teachers and parents approaches to share the issues of the child and we do the full assessment on the referred cases and if required, sent to the hospitals.
We provide one on one consultation by our expert doctors on various health related topics / concerns.
WELLNESS GROUP SESSIONS
The power healing in a group setting is much higher than individual sessions. Our team provides experiential wellness sessions to empower children living a healthy life. It includes activities like informative talks, role play and discussion on various topics related to health.
HEALTH CAMP FOR CHILDREN
It’s a multi-component health camp, that brings about active physical education, sleep hygiene, health care awareness and provide a breakthrough in lifestyle functioning about one’s health.
the purpose of this is to sensitize children for overall health, reduce stress, and improve concentration and focus. It helps to improve psychological as well as physical well being.
SPECIALIST HEALTH TALKS
we provide a wide variety of health talks about general health, diet and nutrition for parents, teachers and students. The programs we have designed for a specific need of our target audience.
Baal Saathee provides health services for the child as they spend most of their time in school.
All the parameters and checklist, along with maintaining the quality standards we set up a clinic in the school equipped with the guidelines of CBSE, with fully equipped Doctor, well-trained Nurse and a Nutritionist. We believe school is the first point of contact for any referrals. Our well-equipped doctors give preventive and primary healthcare services to our children in school.
HEALTH AND NUTRITION SERVICES
We provide one on one scientific and structured comprehensive health check-up for each child, on the various parameters
Subsequently individualized diet plan for each child as per the daily nutritional requirements. The children are referred to if any concerns identified.
The findings are updated as electronic health records to be accessed by each parent.
Regular follow-ups with the children and parents for age-appropriate physical development.
