FOR THOSE DAYS WHEN WE FEEL LIKE WE’RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH

FOR THOSE DAYS WHEN WE FEEL LIKE WE’RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH

FOR THOSE DAYS WHEN WE FEEL LIKE WE’RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”- George Bernard Shaw

Many people might know you as the person who laughs smiles and jokes. But also, it is perfectly normal for you to accept the lows in your life, to feel the intense emotion inside and not be able to justify it to the society. Like the physical appearance and physical health your mindset and mental health is important, yes it is much more important than your grades, the routine work, social and family interactions. It is not only your well-being but your self – love, the ability to cope with the stresses of life, working productively, maintaining healthy relationships, finding stability within yourself. Balancing mental health is nothing to be ashamed of rather we should be ashamed of our stigma and the biases.

Whose fault after all?

Mental illness is not your fault; it depends on your past experiences, social factors, external stressors, cultural factors. It might just be disturbances in thinking, behaviors, energy or emotion which makes it difficult to cope with the life demands. It’s okay to be not okay always. It is perfectly normal for you to accept the lows in your life, to feel the intense emotion inside and not be able to justify it to the society. In spite of moving forward towards development, still there exists an enormous gap between the need for treatment of mental disorders and the resources available, and still 90% of patients are not receiving the treatment.

I am fine…(Are you actually???)

Sometimes when a person says I am fine, they are not. Opening up and accepting a bit about mental health might make it easier for someone around you to fight the battle they are experiencing. It’s not easy but by doing small things it can initiate the difference.

It’s time to talk, it’s time to change.
